The Community Needs Assessment evaluates and documents the need for a Transitional Housing & Nutrition Center located in Pahrump, Nye County, Nevada. It includes the following sections/deliverables:
Homelessness In Nye County - analysis of homeless data & demographics.
Community Needs Assessment - evaluation and documentation of needs, issues and concerns.
Service Priorities - determines priorities based on need and other factors.
Potential Locations - exploration of potential facility locations and high level feasibility.

Community Meeting 10/23/2024
A public meeting was held October 23, 2024 6-8pm at the VEA Conference Center with over 200 in attendance (according to Pahrump Valley Times). After a 1 hour presentation, the open Q&A session spilled over to 8:45pm.
Several residents asked very tough questions and voiced their concerns. Some stated their unwavering opposition. Many residents also voiced their support and constructive feedback with questions for clarification.
Community engagement provides valuable feedback that helps shape the project, facility, services and daily operations, policies, processes and procedures.
